1. Opening Statement

We respect your privacy and your rights to control your personal data and your child's personal data. We will be clear about what data we collect and why we collect it. This privacy statement explains the personal information we collect from you, why we collect it, how we will use it and how we protect it.

Strand Montessori collects personal data about you and your child in order to provide early years & afterschool care and education service to your child. By registering your child at Strand Montessori, you agree to the use of your personal information as described in this Statement.

Strand Montessori is a Controller of personal data you (the data subject) provide us. We collect the following types of personal data:

• Personal Data: your child's name, date of birth, parent/guardian names, your contact number, your address, contact details of adults authorised to collect your child and emergency contacts, PPS number and social welfare status, GP contact details, health insurance information.
• Sensitive Personal Data: health and medical needs of your child, dietary requirements, immunisation records.

2. Why We Collect Your Personal Data?

We use the personal data you share with us in the child enrolment form to communicate with you, to provide the highest care and education for your child, to provide appropriate care in the event of a medical emergency, and for the purposes of administration.

We will also ask for information about who has parental responsibility for your child and any court orders pertaining to this, as well as information on adults authorised to collect your child. Sensitive personal data includes medical information required in case of emergency or if medication needs to be administered.

3. Sharing & Disclosure

We endeavour to keep yours and your child's personal data safe and only share it when necessary. We do not rent or sell your Personal Information to anyone. We may share your personal information with the following third parties:

• Department of Children & Youth Affairs (DCYA)
• Pobal PIP System & Pobal Compliance Officers
• An Garda Síochána
• Tusla Early Years Inspectorate
• Health & Safety Authority
• National Employment Rights Authority
• The Revenue Commissioners
• Tusla – Child and Family Agency
• Padraic Smith Insurance
• Early Childhood Ireland
• Dublin City Childcare Committee

Under certain circumstances Strand Montessori may be required to disclose your Personal Information in response to valid requests by public authorities to meet law enforcement requirements.

4. What We Do With Your Data?

Your personal data is stored and processed at Strand Montessori, Merrion Hall, Strand Road, Sandymount, Dublin 4.

5. How Long We Keep Your Personal Data?

We are required to keep records relating to your child for a period of 2 years after your child has left our service. In the event of an accident/incident, personal data will be held on file until your child is 21 years of age, after which it will be irreversibly destroyed.

6. What Are Your Rights?

We use appropriate technical, organisational and administrative security measures to protect all personal data we hold. Your rights include:

• Right of Access – request access to your personal data. We will respond within 1 month.
• Right to Rectification – request correction of incomplete or incorrect data.
• Right to Erasure – request deletion of your data in certain circumstances.
• Right to Restrict Processing – request restriction or suppression of your data.
• Right to Object – object to and be removed from any direct marketing emails.
• Right to be Informed – this privacy policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
• Right to Portability – request your data be transferred in machine-readable format where applicable.
